I was on a train from Providence to Boston when I got news that the artwork I had done for The Dear Hunter’s Color Spectrum had been nominated for the American Association of Independent Music (A2IM)’s Libera Awards for “Best Creative Packaging”. It was a pretty insane feeling I’ll tell you. I’ve never won any design awards, let alone nominated…most likely because I’ve never been the competitive type. Now, I’ll be biting my nails until June 21st.
Thanks to all of the amazing TDH fans I’ve met in past year who have said nothing but the nicest most encouraging things about the artwork I did for The Color Spectrum. You are all the best.

A most deserved nomination and, I think, a most deserved (hopeful) win. As a (kind of) designer, it’s something that inspires me quite a lot, and combine this with the music and you’ve got inspiration for days and months and years.

I finally got around to taking some product shots for the artwork/packaging design I did for The Dear Hunter this year.

It would mean the world to me if you clicked the photo and checked out my gallery of art that I’ve created this year for Casey and The Dear Hunter. I’ve included everything from the individual covers to the as of yet, unseen limited edition prints that I just did for “The Complete Collection” Special Edition, CD release. This is how I’ve spent a good portion of 2011, and I couldn’t be happier that people are seeing and enjoying what I love.
