Wow. I actually wanna buy a candle…
doin it right. ~CFS
many, many (weh) years ago, I went on an AP Biology field trip to the Pocono Environmental Education Center, or PEEC, and it was pretty much the best field trip ever. We hiked a ton, built campfires, and went stargazing, which, when growing up in light polluted suburban New Jersey, was amazing.
Anyway, one night we were sitting around a campfire and, after some time, one of my tiny friends let one of our wrestler male classmates borrow her hoodie, which, remarkably, fit him. Later, a few of us left everyone a bit early to call first dibs on the showers (I hadn’t fully embraced the art of just staying dirty yet), and when we got the cabins, my friend tossed the returned hoodie to me.
“Dana, smell that. Tell me that isn’t the best smell you ever smelled.”
I inhaled and did indeed smell the best smell I ever smelled - the musky scent of boy combined with the smoky scent of campfire. I was in love.
“Boys and fire is easily the greatest smell ever. I wish every boy would smell like this.”
Now, with this candle, I am one step closer to not risking setting my backyard/a boy on fire every time I want to smell that best smell ever. Who needs an actual boy and an actual campfire when there is science?
I mean, I do, but this is good for rainy days.
That smell. Damn.
